Healthy Ways to Lose Weight – Which Are Safer, Weight Loss Surgeries Or Diet Pills

[ad_1]

If you want to lose weight you probably want to do it in a way that is not painful and without much stress. A lot of people are looking for healthy ways to lose weight. That is why it is important to find a weight loss supplement that is able to offer you weight loss results for the long term. Another alternative people think about when trying to lose weight is surgery. If you do a search on the internet you will find four kinds of weight loss surgeries. They are all painful and risky.

One of the methods is Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (VBG). This is the surgery where they staple the stomach into two parts. The upper part of the stomach is made smaller reducing space for food. The food will pass through a small opening into the loser pouch. During the operation they put a band to prevent that hole from becoming larger. The risks with VBG are that the band is prone to wearing, breaking down of the staple line. It is even possible that stomach juices leak into the abdomen. This can cause infection and in the worst case even death.

Another surgery you can read a lot about is Laparoscopic Gastric Banding (Lap-Band). This one is only intended for very obese people. An inflatable band is placed around the upper part of the stomach. The size of the band can be changed with the amount of salt in the saline solution in the band. This band is meant to be permanent. The risks involved are abdominal pain, heartburn, pouch enlargement, band slippage, nausea and vomiting.

Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RGB) is another weight loss surgery. The stomach is made smaller, the surgeon staples it and creates a smaller pouch. He then attaches this pouch to the middle past of the small intestine. This is done to limit the amount of food you eat and two and to reduce the nutrients absorbed into the small intestine. One of the risks wit RGB is the ‘dumping syndrome’ where food moves too fast through the small intestine. Other side effects are weakness, nausea, faintness, sweating, infection, diarrhea, leaking, gall stones, pulmonary embolism and nutritional deficiency.

Biliopancreatic Diversion (BPD) is a risky surgery that is not used often. A large part of the stomach is removed to limit food and stomach acid production. They connect the small pouch to the final segment of the small intestine. They keep a channel to allow bile and pancreatic digestive juices to mix with the food before it goes into the intestine. The risks with this procedure are nutritional deficiencies.

By now it must be clear to you that all these surgeries come with risks. These risks should not be ignored when there are other natural healthy ways to lose weight available.

Of course there are also weight loss pills on the market which can cause similar side effects. And you can use most of them only for a limited amount of time.

A good alternative would be natural fat binders. These supplements are a natural solution to lose weight and they are free from all risks.
