The new cabbage soup diet is basically the same as the old cabin soup diet that has been around for years. Recipes for the cage soup vary, but all are based on cage, onions, tinned tomatoes, bell peppers, celery, carrots and onion soup mix.

The cabbage soup diet does work, but the results are very short term. the weight is regained as quickly as it came off. This diet is often used by people who need a quick fix for some upcoming event.
