Why Do Some People Pretend To Be Nice When They Really Aren’t?

Example, I know this girl who is between the ages of 18-25. She acts nice and kind to pretty, slim guys and girls but when she comes into contact with a fat guy or girl she is not mean but doesn’t act like she does to the pretty people. She will act almost standoffish to the point that she can’t wait to wrap up the encounter with them and leave. She doesn’t talk trash about people behind their back unless they are fat or what she would consider to be ugly. But then she is the type of person who will tell all her friends that she is a nice person and always lives life with a smile. I thought nice people are supposed to be nice to all people and take them as they come?

Just remember, everyone has a dark side.

Well, everyone has a dark side, but this girl sounds outright two-faced. She sounds snobbish and conceited. In short, she’s not nice. You’re right. A nice person is nice to everyone (if everyone is nice to them).

This kind of girl will love the fat guys who have money down the road. It’s that kind of superficiality that you want to stay away from. It’s bad for the soul to be around them, although sometimes they grow out of it. But it’s her issue to deal with, not yours. Don’t let it affect you.
